WILL MY CHARACTERS SEE DINOSAURS? WHICH ONES?●● Yes, dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and other reptiles (and even birds and some mammals)! You can find a brief list of those animals here, along with some links to do your own research for animals your characters might spot. WHEN EXACTLY IS THIS GAME SET?●● Sometime between the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous. We're intentionally being fuzzy on the exact date because, in all honesty, it would be almost impossible to know for sure, considering how little we actually know about specific dates that far back in time. BUT SOME OF THESE DINOSAURS ARE FROM THE JURASSIC/DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CRETACEOUS!●● Yes, some of the dinosaurs that we have listed are from the Middle Cretaceous (and possibly Middle Jurassic). The reasoning behind it is this: there's no way to know with 100% certainty that the dinosaurs died out in that same period they are assumed to be from. Compys lasted millions of years, so did raptors and they could have existed prior to, or after the time they were found in the fossil record. Not to mention, even if the exact species of compy we know of from the fossil record died out, another species probably existed, which theoretically, could be the dinosaurs the characters are coexisting with. SO THERE CAN BE MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THE SAME CHARACTER?●● Yes. Everyone has a different take on their favorite character, after all. And some people have their own versions of "canon" for their character as well. We allow all of those different versions here. So if someone else has taken your go-to character, no problem! You can bring in your version as well. Please remember though, that we do have a cap on the number of versions allowed in the game. WHAT ELSE DO YOU PUT CAPS ON?●● Nothing right now, but that could possibly change. We will only put caps on things if we feel that certain aspect is taking over the game. For example, if suddenly 75% of the game has been turned into a vampire, we might cap the turning of characters - but only until a balance has been achieved. The only permanent caps we have are on the amount of character versions we allow. WHAT DO CHARACTERS HAVE ON THEM WHEN THEY ARRIVE?●● Characters will have whatever was on their person at the time they left wherever they were. Whatever they were wearing and whatever they had on them will be transported as well. All objects will be catalogued and documented by the military upon arrival. IS CANON-PUNCTURING ALLOWED?●● No. Your characters can reference things like Star Wars or comic books, but please refrain from having them approach another character and tell them they're fake or mention the books/movies/comics about their lives. The only exception is if characters are punctured in their own canon. WHAT ABOUT LOOK-ALIKES ACROSS FANDOMS?●● Don't have your characters comment on it. Alec from Dark Angel will only look similar to Dean Winchester from Supernatural, not identical. The only exception is if there are clones/twins/doppelgangers within the individual fandom. ARE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS ALLOWED?●● Yes, but only if they're from an existing fandom. Played-Bys for original characters cannot duplicate the played-by of a character in that fandom. CAN CHARACTERS ACTUALLY LEAVE THE CAMP? CAN THEY BRING THINGS BACK WITH THEM?●● Yes and yes. Characters are encouraged to stay within the safety of the camp, but they are allowed to leave if they wish. They are allowed to bring objects back (within reason), but those things will be subject to military inspection and possible confiscation. CAN CHARACTERS TAKE ON JOBS WITHIN THE CAMP?●● Yes, they can. They can approach military personnel and request to volunteer for jobs (they won't be paid, obviously). Military personnel will conduct an interview and then they'll be allowed to work however often they feel comfortable. |
