rules.

the rules
in general●●

● Don't be a douche bag. Follow RP etiquette. Don't steal, don't harass, don't be a drama queen, etc, etc.

● No godmodding! Meaning you cannot control another person's character without the mun's explicit consent. If your character's actions will have some effect on another, discuss that plot with them first!

● This is a multifandom game set in back in time, during the Cretaceous Period, that means that characters from many fandoms will be interacting in a very dangerous situation. Try to play outside your happy circle, it can be fun.

● Strikethroughs are interpreted as comments that were written and then deleted and cannot be read in character at all.

● A post with graphic violence, sexual content, or both should be placed behind an LJ-cut and locked to the community. ALL images must be placed behind a cut as well - not everyone has high speed, even in this day and age.

● Remember to post outside of your own fandom - that's the beauty of a panfandom game. Don't be clique-y!

house rules●●

● Activity is a necessity for a roleplay. That being said, each month you are responsible for at least 3 interactions (either net posts or scenes, consisting of at least 3 replies from you), and at least one of those need to be with a character from a fandom other than your own.

● A hiatus can be taken for up to six weeks. After that, you must post something in order to register interest. To request a hiatus, you must comment the moderator journal.

● Serious storylines are allowed as well as those that aren't mainstream (incest, etc.). However you must handle the material appropriately and realistically.

● While scenes of a sexual nature are allowed, we require that all participating entities (players and characters) be over 18 years old. No character participating in any scene of a sexual nature should be under 18 years old and both players must have given consent for the scene to take place.

● Any scene (or net post) of an explicit nature (sexual, gore, violence, etc) or involving "squick"/controversial material (incest, rape, etc.) MUST be behind a cut and with a clear warning indicating the nature of the scene/post. (ex. A note in the subject header that says "ooc: mentions of [insert here]" -- this includes net posts that contain similar material)

● Pregnancies will be realistic according to the canon your character comes from, not to mention realistic concerning your character's current situation. Which means if vampires can't get pregnant in your characters canon, your vampire can't get pregnant here. No exceptions. If you can't handle it, don't do it.

● Instant shipping isn't allowed. Play things out realistically - this includes things like marriages as well. People don't just suddenly decide to get married just because they've known one another for a week and decided they like one another. We'll intervene if shipping takes precedence or if they aren't handled realistically.

● When leaving the game, you character will be killed off; nothing personal, but it helps keep the game going. Even though the character died, they are welcome to come back if someone else wants to play them or you decide to come back.

● The three strike policy: For most offenses (minor rule-breaking, etc.), players will receive warnings - on the third offense, a player will be removed from the game.

concerning characters●●

● You are obligated to play a character as their canon ethnicity. You are free to choose your PB, however it must be a real-life PB, and you must take their canon physical descriptions into account and explain any differences in your own canon description (ex; Veronica Mars can't suddenly be a 42 year-old ginger without a decent explanation). If your character is canon, you are obligated to use their canon PB (unless icons cannot be found).

● We don't allow anthropomorphic characters in the game. This goes along with the fact that we require real-life PBs and, baring Mr. Ed, there just aren't that many talking animals, etc. around.

● We don't allow imaginary/hallucinatory characters in the game. Your character has to be real in their world and physically capable of being pulled through the space-time continuum into this world.

● We allow a maximum of 10 versions for each character, however if one character is overwhelming the game population, we may cap to avoid over-saturation. One player is only allowed 4 versions of the same character and no player can have more than 10 characters in any one fandom.

● You are allowed to kill your character off at your discretion (with mod team approval), and you can choose whether or not they remember their time in the game. The stipulations are as follows: Your character will be out of play for 2 days after their death, you can only kill your character a maximum of 3 times, you must wait a month between killings, and your character can only remember their time in the game after their first resurrection.

● When your character is involved in any major event that includes someone else (aside from NPCs), you are obligated to post either a narrative or a scene. This goes for turning characters, feeding on characters, injuring characters, etc. If you don't post a narrative/scene, it didn't happen.

● Killing of NPCs is allowed as well. Please note that ALL NPCs, without exception, are military. When killing off NPCs, a narrative must be posted in the main community. Feeding off/injuring NPCs can simply be mentioned via the intranet community, but if a death is involved, a narrative must be posted in order to incorporate it into the canon of the game. Also please note that killing of characters (NPCs or otherwise) - along with anything else - doesn't come without consequences.

● You can choose to update your character to a current point in their canon by one of the following ways: Your character can be knocked unconscious and they'll be updated - they only see flashes, like a film reel of what happened; OR you can remove your character and bring them back 24 hours later with their updated canon point, however they will not remember their time in the game.
